Having high blood pressure can cause damage to the vessels which supply blood to your retina, which in turn can lead to retinopathy. Having this can cause bleeding in your eyes, blurry vision and eventually a complete loss in vision.
High blood pressure can also cause optic neuropothy or nerve damage in your eyes. This condition can also lead to eventual sight loss.
Therefore, keeping your blood pressure check is not only good for your heart and brain, it’s also paramount to continued good vision.
