Today, we have a eye-health related question to answer for you all.
Q: How can I protect myself against age-related macular degeneration?
A: Actually we have several relatively simple ways (we believe) in order to give yourself a fighting chance against macular degeneration.
- First, quit smoking. Several studies have reported that smoking does increase your risk of developing macular degeneration, in addition to speeding up the progress by which it progresses.
- Eat a healthy diet. Eating a diet rich in omega-3 foods, such as fish, have been reported to reduce the prevalence of macular degeneration.
Adhering to these two things can give a good fighting chance against AMD!
