It’s Back to School time! And we know you have a checklist of what needs to get done before your child starts school:

  • School Supplies
  • New Clothes & Shoes
  • Pediatrician Well Visit
  • Dentist

And added to this list should be an Eye Doctor visit to check your child’s vision. According to the American Optometric Association, one in four children has an undiagnosed vision problem because changes in the child’s eyesight have gone unnoticed. Undetected vision problems can critically impact a child’s visual perceptual skills which effect their ability to recognize, comprehend, & retain information.  Vision changes can happen without the child or yourself noticing them.

A comprehensive eye exam by Dr. Wise will detect any vision issues including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatisms, amblyopia (one eye is weaker than the other because the brain area for one eye didn’t fully develop), and other vision problems.  And did you know that Dr. Wise is the only fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist in our area?  Call the office today to schedule your child’s appointment: 609.652.1010
